Say what?

Today's Bangor Daily News has a headline that only the American news media could write:

"U.S. successes in Iraq complicate guerrilla war."

No joke. Can you imagine reading, "Chemotherapy success hinders cancer treatment?" No, because that would be absurd to anyone who reads it. But somehow the headline above made sense to the BDN's editors.

A spate of arrests -- including the capture of Saddam Hussein -- have broken rebel command networks and forced fighters underground, a top U.S. military official told The Associated Press.
The BDN headline isn't online, unfortunately, but the AP story can be found here. The headline is not as amusing, though.
