Politics and human life

In the wake of the disastrous south Asian tsunami, it's good to see that politics isn't getting in the way of valuable lifesaving work.

Oh, never mind.

Bush caused tsunami

Note to readers: Posts like this are what happen when you visit Democratic Underground at 2 AM.

Click here to find out how the thousands of deaths in the Indian Ocean are Bush's fault for not signing Kyoto.

It goes without saying that it's a ridiculous suggestion. (It's DU. It's all ridiculous.)

There's no mention of Bill Clinton's failure to sign Kyoto, though. He and Al Gore praised it in glowing terms, all the while knowing that Clinton had no intention of signing it.

Just like the gays in the military issue (Clinton signed it into law), he gets another free pass from the left despite being on the "wrong" side of an issue by opposing one of the left's favorite pieces of paper. I really can't figure out why they don't hate him too.
